In all fairness, they probably have negotiated bulk rates with FedExpress and they did it in response to criticism that they may not make the April 1 date and could potentially dissatisfy the very students they are trying to attract. I can see why they did what they are doing.

I disagree with you…every other college that we have heard from sends EVERYTHING out the same way, at the same time! I think they should have thought about the “time line”, so they didn’t have to FED EX !

Just got my fedex!!! eeek!!!

I heard they sent the letters out FedEx because they had complaints that their first visitation day was next week and people didn’t know if they were in yet! Also heard that they were overwhelmed with the number of applications so they didn’t get things out as early as they wanted to.
Did they send out rejections by FedEx too? If so, that’s cold.

sailgal33: Good point. I was referring to someone’s comment about the cost of using FedEx. We agree with you, as we’re on the west coast and have not received a FedEx yet. So, now my D thinks if we don’t get a FedEx, she’s been rejected. And, in reality, it could be that or that her FedEx took longer. And, her language under the Student Services did change to include all that stuff (e.g., sign up for classes), so if she did not get in… double cold.

I get it…we have all of the language on banner web, but…no fed ex yet. Typically, Fed Ex doesnt come until the afternoon in my neighborhood, but who knows. It is my daughters last letter. We just need this to be OVER !

Sailgal33 and lovely23: We are in same position. I really hope the added language on banner web was not a cruel mistake and we too are just waiting for UR so we can finalize our trip to the east coast. What state are you in? Good luck!

mangotree I was thinking the same thing. I am worried that I didnt get in if my letter was not fedexed but same with sailgal33, ours usually comes later in the day. This is my first choice and my last to hear from, so I just want to know.

Massachusetts

Got mine in NJ, although I had received a likely letter so I already pretty much knew. Sort of surprised that I did not receive a scholarship since I received a likely letter. That combined with the low financial aid I received makes it unlikely I will be able to afford UR - I was counting on a scholarship :(

I just opened my fedex package. Accepted! But yeah heejie jeebie im with you on the financial aid thing. get your head in the game, richmond!

In defense of Richmond, maybe part of the Application Fee every applicant pays goes towards paying FedEx for their letter.

just got mine from ohio, but judging by the (lack of) aid, I’m pretty sure that I won’t be going there. I was kind of hoping for a scholarship since I received a LL, but oh well…

I dont know if this is too personal but what part of ohio?

worthington, ohio. It’s like 20 minutes away from columbus in the suburbs

Anybody in the West Coast get their Fed Ex package yet?

One, did the majority of people who recieved letters today recieve likely letters like a month ago. And also if I didnt recieve a letter today does that mean im either waitlisted or denied?

Hope this helps, but we need more west coast people to post. D did not receive likely letter, and we have not received anything on the west coast and FedEx usually comes by now. Her banner web did change with that modified language under Student Services as described a few days ago.

if youre not on the west coast and you didn’t recieve a letter does that mean you are not in?

If you are on the east coast and did not get a letter today, does that mean you were not accepted?
