has anyone got the email with ur AdmitID??

I got an email saying congrats for gettin into UIUC…
As for the admitID i went online and did the registration as given on the website.
https://secure.admin.illinois.edu/Admissions/Paperless/SecretCode for a temporary one

I haven’t … yet.

I got an email the day I checked my decision online, so I wouldn’t worry, the email will definitely come.

I also got one (EA) in a physical letter - if the email fails for some reason, you might just have to wait a few days extra.

Have you checked your spam folder? Batch emails often end up in spam.

My son got accepted on Friday online, got an acceptance email on Saturday and a scholarship notification on Sunday. This may vary by department, however – he’s in engineering/computer science, the techies might prioritize their own!

I still have not got an email yet, although its says “Decision:Admit” on Check your application status.

a few notes:
i think you should only be receiving an email once you have accepted your admission
and when your status says: applicant accepts offer
the email should be auto generated, mine was in the junk folder -.- (windows live even said it was malicious…)
You will be give a temporary AdmitID for you to accept your decision. After which, you should go online and register for a permanent one.

I am an international student, can i ask how long will it take for me to receive a package about admission/housing via post? (I live in singapore) Or has any international students received it already?
Thanks

@ahmed are you sure that you will be receiving emails after you accept the admission offer? what happens if you’re waiting for decisions from other schools? because many other schools’ decisions come out on late March-mid April.

btw, I didn’t receive any emails either although my status says Admit.

Im international student too. How can I accept the offer before receiving the email. Apparently, I can see no link to accept the offer I can click onto?

My son hasn’t accepted his admission yet and he got both the congratulations email and a follow-up scholarship email.

@TAHUNGANH I’m not very sure about this but I believe you need to receive the email first and accept the offer. (I’m not sure though ><)

did you check out the ‘admitted checklist’ on the UIUC website? probably, they have all the info you need. Maybe you could just skim through this while waiting for the email. I’m sure the email will eventually come! oh and congrats to your admission to UIUC :)

@kipling123 : Thank you. However, I am a bit worried right now. I think the reason I have not gotten any email is because I had not sent them my financial verification form and SEVIS form for international student maybe?

@LorenIpsum I think what I said applies to international students only.

So what should i (an international student) do to receive an email from UIUC? Thank you

just curious, where u from? (:

Ok as stated here, [U of I Admissions: Information for Admitted International Undergraduate Students](Page Not Found, Illinois Undergraduate Admissions)
u should accept the offer by clicking here [University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign: Online Response Form](myIllini)

I study in Singapore.
@ahmed123: Does that mean I have to pay the deposit and confirm that I go to UIUC in order to get the email? I want to fill in the form but I dont even know my AdmitID?
Thank you!

(hmm which JC?)
nope, no university will ask you to do that.
get ur temporary AdmitID from here : https://secure.admin.illinois.edu/Admissions/Paperless/SecretCode
You should be getting an admission package by post soon too… (I haven’t yet received it too)

@ahmed123: CJ. :D

So I have to confirm that I am going to UIUC in order to receive the email? Its quite weird you know, as I expect to hear from other colleges I am applying to first? I dont want to do double deposit?

That doesn’t seem right to me. It could be that the final processing of international applicants is simply delayed – UIUC gets a lot of applications. Why don’t you just send the school and email and ask them?
