When you apply ED, do colleges look at senior year?

When applying senior year, do colleges look at your senior year grades? Or do they look at your senior year schedule?

They only have the schedule. First semester usually ends in January, which is after the decisions are out.

I think most schools want your first quarter grades.

Do they care about your senior year schedules?

also wondering, why would they want 1st quarter grades if they aren’t even going to average it in in the UW or W gpa?

secondly, 1st term usually ends after midterms, which is in like mid january. i know for sure that mid terms are after christmas (the 25th of december). so we should conclude that mid terms are in jan. and 1st term ends mid-jan.

OK so the grades can’t make it in time bc/ we send applications in at end of dec.

SOOO what’s the point of doing well senior year? why no just pick a rigorous schedule to show adcoms you’re seroius and flunk them 1st term (I mean get like high or mid Bs). then try to pick up ur average to low A or mid A at the end. :)))) sounds like a reasonable plan to me…

They make decisions based on your performance through junior year and determining that your senior year schedule is meeting their expectation.

The decisions for November 1st/15th deadlines come out long before schools can issue first semester grades. They will not require you to file your quarterly grades in the middle of their processing in order to make a decision.

Schools do have the choice to retract an admission if your senior year performance is not upto par.
