When you were 12 years old

Hahahahahah!!! Those things are awful... ahh, memories....

=.= Oh yea, I forgot to mention that my Taekwondo Master kicked me in the stomach and I went flying across the room. ><;

WONDERFUL! I have memories of being a brand new white belt against a brown-belt chick cuz she was the only one my height. Needless to say, I got my ass kicked.

Well at least it was a girl. oO; Mine was a guy. ><;; And you didn't fly like oO; ....><; uuummm...a bird? >/

Wanted to go into genetic engineering

Liked old playstation video games

Was somewhat obsessed with the Matrix (that we before the sequels, mind you...)

Loved gel pens, like everyone else here.

Wrote a 60-page book.

Was, in retrospect, absurdly anorexic. That's ended, thankfully.

Had several snarky sarcastic male friends who rubbed off on me more than they probably should have. Not in that way.

Was extraordinarily dramatic.

Was in Algebra I (oh, dear).

I remember a terrible yearbook picture...I cringe when I see it now. lol

clothing with lots of butterfly designs

the last year I would talk with my dad...

a trip to Busch Gardens for my science class

having a few crushes on some guys....

-hmmm i remember i got a terrible haircut and i was so embarassed by it because i hated it, and i got it on a sunday and i was sooooo dreading going to school the following day.
-i met my best friend when i was 12, and we're still best friends to this day
-i had a crush on girls i had no shot with lol
-i was runner up in the school spelling-bee
-i played basketball...which i thought i was good in, but wasnt very good whatsoever.

I had a beeper! My dad wanted to get me a cell phone, but "no one else has a cell phone dad!"

Being a band geek was as cool as it got

I was made fun of a lot because I was white...(blonde hair, blue eyes, freckles...the whole shebang) but my middle school was like, 95% Asian and Pacific Islander. I wanted to dye my hair black, covered my freckles with make up, and prayed every night (I am not religious) that I would wake up as an Asian. Thank God I am over that.

All of my friends lived in my neighborhood, and everyday after school, they would come over to my house and play The Sims until 6 at night. And then on weekends we would ride around the neighborhood on our bikes.

My mommy would type out my projects for me because I was HELLA slow on the computer.

I was SKINNY and short and super super tiny. I had no "curves" whatsoever, and everyday I would look in the mirror and wishhhh that I could add a little junk to the trunk...Well I ended up going through puberty a year later than everyone else, but I somehow got the most "curves"...and now I am not sure how much I like it....Bah that stupid green grass.

I was in love with boys I didn't talk to.

Woah, a school with 95% Asians/Pacific Islanders? Whew, never seen that and probably never will!

I was playing SNES and thinking that it was the most advanced thing EVAR!!!

And generally beating people your ages up in Street Fighter. Hahah.

12 year old me:

-skinny, flat
-tall
-straight hair (i miss i miss!! mainly because i didn't tie it up. haha i used to look like ramona quimby with the bangs and straight, short hair)
-i was in LOVE with the LIMITED TOO!! hahaha
-but my mom never let me buy lots of limited too stuff because it was pricey. so we went shopping at target, oh, about every 3 months.
-skechers
-turtlenecks, tight pants, and crew neck sweatshirts -__-
-the classic: ROLLING BACKPACK. oh god. in 6th and 7th grade i was made fun of for that.
-NERDD haha. but jr. high was easy schmeezy.
-had a friend named stacey who was really popular and stuff. i was friends with her therefore making me popular but i didnt hang out with her friends too much. so iw as basically flat and skinny and tall and she was blonde and pretty and was a cheerleader so all the guys loved her...haha. but she was a nice kid.
-she moved and then i met my best friend who i am still best friends with to this day :) infact i just came back from my best friend's sweet sixteen. awesome party, it was.
-one or two guys had a crush on me and i was very irked..

I liked my life when I was 12:

playing tennis
piano
a nerd
first kiss

X] Man, I miss Street Fighters. o_O; Especially the Green Guy. :D We will just call him Grinch the Orange Hair. [forgot his name]

His name was Blanka. My personal favorite was Dhalsim, though. His limbs were really long, making him rather cheap.

When I was 12, I sucked.

I wore Limited Too. I had extremely thick eyebrows. I tried hard to fit in with the "in crowd" or whatever, but I read too much and was a little too awkward to ever really be part of the group. I brought my lunch to school every day...in a miniature cooler. I really liked Savage Garden. I collected Beanie Babies. I played Zelda extensively.

Yup...I was really lame, and it's not surprising, in retrospect, that I didn't have any friends. Haha.

Oh yeah, I remember renting Playstation games from Blockbuster to play with my friend every week since I didnt have one! I loved playing Xmen vs Streetfighter and Street Fighter Alpha 3! Good times, good times....
Oh yeah, that was when I first saw Family Guy too, fell in love with it instantly, even if I was a bit young to watch it.

I ABHOR my 12-year-old self, for some reasons . . .

I love who I am now. Lol.

I'm the total opposite of you Rhapsody. Loved my 12 year old self. My 12 year old self would hate the way I am now.

What do you remember of yourself during that time?

I had a better life. I think.

I also had tons of gel pens and those dumb black sheets which I really didn't use, just to doodle on
For lunch I had this tan tupperware thing and was embarrassed that I never had disposable brown bags. Mom only gave me $5 a week for lunch...
I put tons of gel in my hair to give the wet look (and to keep it down!). Can go through a whole bottle in less than two weeks. Now I discovered flat irons.
I was very insecure when I was 12, and nothing much changed.

omg what about milky pens??? I remember those...
