accepted today also! i live in CT

accepted... happy!

accepted! In MA here.

yay accepted in CT.

accepted!...but very ****ty financial aid so there's no way i can attend

Accepted in Western NY.............lots of information to take into consideration

Although my (nick)name was spelled incorrectly in my acceptance letter, I was excited to see a handwritten note at the bottom. It seems slightly general (saying they were impressed with what I've accomplished in high school, and their English program seems like a good match for me). Is this common?

Also: Quick Stats
SAT: 2100; ACT: 30; SAT II's: French 660, Literature 650, Chem 620
National Merit Commendation
Class rank: 9 out of 335
AP's: only 3 total (all senior year) - English, French, Envi Sci
Other interesting points: Various local-national writing awards; taught religious education.

Mine had a hand-written note too. Again, kinda generic. Said something about my interest in "world affairs," that I apparently expressed somewhere in my application.

Financial aid at Skidmore was my best offer so far. If not accepted to any of my "reaches," I will consider attending over Brandeis, although as of now my sympathies lean with Brandeis.

Yeah the handwritten note was nice at the bottom. They didn't give me any aid however, so I'm leaning towards Brandeis right now, provided I don't get into any of my reaches.

Mine had a handwritten note too- didn't seem terribly generic, as they did get my interests right . . . it at least made me feel warm and fuzzy.

accepted from CT :D
also a handwritten note that referenced something i wrote in my essay, so i found that to be a nice touch
Quick stats:
SAT: 1460/2150; SAT II's: Math II 790, US History 680
National Merit Commendation
Class rank: 2 out of about 315
AP's: 10 total
Other interesting points: Concertmistress of orchestra that played at Carnegie Hall, found political activism group, Princeton Book Award recipient, president of several clubs, writes book reviews for publishing companies, statewide leadership award, etc.

accepted today

my handwritten note just said i "appreciated creativity." i was soooo happy until i saw my financial aid. my family contribution is twice as much as my EFC!! i seriously can't understand what they were thinking :(

Congrats ......

i applied and i'm waiting. did you get a thick or thin envelope?

I was accepted today, thick envelope, and hardly any financial aid :/
but.. .they wrote a nice hand-written note!

Yikes! I recieved an acceptance to Skidmore's London program in the mail today, but...I never finished my application. I sent in the first half of the common application, but never paid the application fee or wrote/sent in the supplemental essays. I guess it was nice of them to accept me anyway? Did this happen to anyone else? I feel like this London program is sort of a glorified waitlist and I can't tell if I should feel insulted or complimented since I never really applied!
Congrats to everyone who got in (and was expecting it!) :)

Just got my official letter today, after receiving my scholarship letter early last week.

Accepted with awesome financial aid, will only be paying $12,000 a year if I go. I was impressed, considering U Rochester only gave me about $10000 with my book award scholarship.

Accepted here in CA! Just got the letter now, 5:30 our time. Anyone else from CA get in?

So excited!

i got in from CA today. is it a good school? what's it comparable to?

YEa, it's not a bad school. I'd say, seeing as you're in California, that it's comparable to Occidental College? Academically, that's something which I think compares.

I might also compare it to Connecticut College on the east coast
