Where all have you been accepted?

Hey guys, I was browsing through some old posts on CC, and I noticed that last year they had a thread with a list of schools each student had been accepted to; now that most decisions are out, why not we have one as well, just for the Indians Class of 2018?

To start with, I've been accepted to Penn State, Drexel, IIT.

as of now just REED COLLEGE

It would help future applicants, if you can post your basic stats (SAT,GPA,overview of your ECs,financial aid required), list of colleges you applied to, and decisions.

[ /list][ b]Reflection**
[ *] Strengths: not many Indians applied this year
[ *] Weaknesses:
[ *] other colleges I applied to Emory , Haverford and Purdue ( the good old Indian safety )

yeah I planned to use Haverford and Reed as a back door into columbia engineering and caltech

^Congrats for getting in at Reed. I wanted to apply there, but ended up removing it from my list in the end because I already had 15 colleges.
As for acceptances, I have 3 rejections (MIT, UChicago, HMC) so far, lol :/

Congrats on Reed, @savemylife !
@Qwerty1739 we all know how competitive the admissions are in those schools, so cheer up! Maybe you’ll get accepted in the 12 other places! Where else have you applied, btw?

7 Ivies (all but Dartmouth), Stanford, Duke, Amherst, Williams & Colgate for me. (Yeah, 14 high reaches and a low reach :P)

Wow that’s quite a list! All the best :D

Reed==Steve Jobs(es) home college :P

So far, accepted to UCSD, alternate list at HMC, wait listed at UIUC, and rejected at UCLA and Yale-NUS

Congratulations @Savemylife !!
I’m a class of '19er and Reed is my top choice!

Congrats, @denhigs
Getting waitlisted at UIUC itself is quite an achievement, trust me.

How did the Ivy decisions go for everyone?

Ivy decisions :
Rejected : Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth
Wait-listed : Cornell, UPenn (Did not ask for aid to UPenn)
Accepted : NOWHERE!

Others :
Rejected : UCB, CMU
Waitlisted : UMich

Too many negative decisions in a single day!

Rejected at JHU :frowning:

Aw, that’s too bad :frowning:
All the best, hopefully you’ll find the right place to be :)

So rejected from all 15 colleges I’d applied to. Fun.

Damn…did you apply to any safeties?

No, I’d rather be in India. Besides there aren’t any good safeties for people requiring full aid.
