Where all have you been accepted?

Well, give you son my best wishes whether he chooses to go to McGill or not. Did he apply to unis in UK (more specifically England)? Because if he got rejected from ivies due to lack of extra-curriculars and is otherwise strong academically then he would have fared well there, not to mention that education system in England is at par with that in the USA if not better, also the degree comes in 3 yrs instead of 4 (except Engineering and Medicine).

@SuperrMom‌ Does your son need FA/Did he get FA at McGill? If so, how much?

@Robots156‌ … No sadly we didn’t get FA.

@Robots156 …and neither did our other international friends.

@peepingtom Do you have an international olympiad medal?

@Annoyed17‌ No I don’t.

@peepingtom I just wanted to confirm this because you said you are aiming for MIT and as far as I know they take only International Olympiad Medalists. I don’t know much about colleges other than mine, because I found CC way after I was admitted :stuck_out_tongue: Well, all the best to you, hope you are the first!

@Annoyed17‌ Well, I won’t be the first, I can assure you that. Which college do you go to?

@peepingtom CMU SCS

That’s really good, it’s almost next to MIT and Harvey Mudd. Are you paying the sticker price?

Yes. Every international student has to at CMU. But I got a $4000 merit based for next year and also another one worth $200!

There are many merit based scholarships you will find about once you are in college. @peepingtom

It’s good to hear that, I’ll be requiring a lot of aid!

@denhigs - submitted my deposit too. Let’s connect on fb!

Congratulations ! McGill is awesome !

@Kandarp :slight_smile: thanks!

McGill is great, congrats :slight_smile:
And meanwhile, just got 30k in merit scholarships from NYU, so almost set to go there.
I’m planning to do an MBA in the future, so I think doing an UG in NYU can help get me into Stern for my MBA.
And, NYU has some AMAZING study abroad programs, which I would love. And its New York :stuck_out_tongue:
So yes, not much thinking left for me to do, will pay my deposit in the next few days :)

@Heythere7 Sure! Shoot me a PM!

@suryaslash Way to go man! Congrats!

@denhigs thanks man, you too :D
