Where am I at?

Hey guys, I have been trying to figure out what kind of schools I should be thinking about. It is my junior year and I am just very unsure of what to shoot for, so I thought I would try this out.
I have a 4.0 and a class rank of 1
I am Vice President of Key Club
I helped create a Civil War Moving Memorial
I am a member of NHS
I volunteer biweekly in the NICU of my local hospital
I am planning to do a CNA program this summer and work as a CNA through my senior year
I am a member of varsity Track and Cross Country
In my sophomore year I took:
APUSH (I received a 5 on the test)
Honors Chemistry (they don't offer AP)
Honors Algebra 2
Honors English
In my Junior Year I am taking:
AP Lang and Comp
AP Bio
Precalc
AP Euro
Med-term
In my Senior Year I will be taking:
AP Lit
Human Biology
Honors physics (they don't offer AP)
AP Psych
AP Calc A/B (I am thinking about B/C)
I hope to major in pre-med

So if you could give me any advice or possible schools to look at, that would be great! Thank you!

help please?

You have a lot of options, but you need to know three things before you take this any further:

1) How much money does your family have available to pay for your education? If you are going to need aid, then how much aid do you need?

2) Pre-med isn’t a major. It is a sequence of courses. You can major in anything at all and still go to med school.

3) Med school is obscenely expensive, and there are almost no scholarships. Most students pay for it with loans. It is most likely that you will end up with more than $200,000 of student debt for med school. Do your best to finish undergraduate school with as little debt as possible.

Thank you so much for all the information!

 1. My parents will not be able to help a lot w/ finances, but will help in any way they can. Any money we had saved has gone towards my brother, as he is in his sophomore year of college right now. I have been looking for small scholarships hoping they would accumulate, but it is hard to find ones for juniors.

2) Okay, so do most people major in bio?

3) Considering that idea, would it still be possible to go to college out of state? I know tuition is much higher, but I just feel like there are so many more options and experiences out there if I don’t limit my self to in-state.

If you have SAT/ACT scores that are good enough to go along with that GPA, there will be colleges/universities who are willing to throw a lot of money at you. They may be in your state, or they may be outside your state. They might be places you have heard of before, or they might be places you have never heard of. Go to the Financial Aid Forum, and scroll down through the threads there to find the ones on guaranteed merit-based aid. There also are a few more on that topic in the Parents Forum.

For specific advice about pre-med options, go to the main page where all of the forums are listed, and scroll down to find the pre-med forum. Lots of pre-med students do major in biology, but you don’t have to do that by any means. It really is OK to study whatever you feel like - French Lit, Religious Studies, Vertical Dance, whatever.

Wishing you all the best!

Thanks so much!
