And Berkeley rejected. Sigh.
@potatoheadhala
I guess I’ll see you at UCLA
(unless we both miraculously get into cmu)

I can only hope.

Damn, another rejection, from CMU. I didn’t think it’d be this bad, to be honest.
You always think you’re ready to hear rejections but in fact it really hurts. Fortunately, you have some acceptances to soften the blow.
Yeah, I guess. I’m just disappointed with my entire application.I still think I can do better.
Now I want to move on, and do something really impressive in the next 4 years - not for colleges, but for me.
Please stop thinking in terms of 'doing something impressive '… Especially since you got into Case Western Reserve, which is impressive in its own right!
Oh no, I’m not complaining about Case or anything. I know I’ve done a lot already, but I want to keep getting better, even if I’m not at my dream universities.
Alright guys, I’ll be making my final decision this week.
Given that finances are not a problem - does UCLA(50k/yr) make more sense than Case Western (30k/yr)? How different are these schools?
For comp sci/math I would think CMU is better. For quality of life UCLA (no beaches in Pittsburgh).
Case Western would offer a more personalized education, with smaller classes, more amenities, more comfortable surroundings, more support.
UCLA has very large classes, no personal advising, but it is one of the great public universities in the country and it has LA and California.
This being said, I don’t think it’s worth 80K more.
Sorry. Brain fart. Case, not CMU, and Cleveland not Pitt.
Hey, a long time since I’ve been online here - just wanted to update.
I’ve been accepted to IIT Guwahati, and will be joining!
Congrats and good luck
