Pleaseee chance meee! &nd, please post your stats and I will chance you as well! :]

I transferred to UCSD last fall. You’re in at UCD, UCSD! I am guessing you have a small chance for UCLA. Not sure about UCB.

Hey PsychBruin! I just saw you tried to message me. My message inbox was full. Was this what you wanted to ask?

You’re definitely in at UCD and UCSD. My only concern for the other 2 UC’s is the C in the bio prereq. That’s an important one. Personally though, I think you’re definitely in at either UCLA or UCB, and you have a good chance at both due to the upward grade trend.

Hey! I am so glad you choose the school where YOU wanted to go. Not some GIRL. :]

Anyways, basically I wanted to ask if you choose an “alternative” major for any of the schools you applied to and what was your experience with that.

You’ll be graduating in 2013 from Berk?

samuraihuang: Thanks for chancing me! That’s awesome. SD is amazinggg! What’s your major?

bump 10 characters

@PsychBruin: I did choose an alternative major. When I applied to UCLA, I put Psych as my primary major and philosophy as my alternative. I was admitted to my primary major at all schools though, so I don’t have much experience in terms of being admitted into an alt. major. In fact, I’ve very rarely heard on this forum that people are admitted to their alternates.

And I’ll actually be graduating in May 2012! I’m pumped and terrified lol.

I hope you get into all the schools you’re applying to! I think you have a great shot!

Thank you so much for your advice. I really appreciate it! Congrats on graduation! I might be there because a couple of my friends will be graduating this upcoming year (I live 25 minutes from Berk!) What year did you transfer? Is it possible to be at a UC for 3 full semesters, 2 summer sessions?

You’re welcome for the advice, and thank you for the warm graduation wishes! I can’t wait. And haha my family is from Burlingame, so I’m from around the Bay Area as well. I transferred as a spring admit (January 2011)…so I was admitted in the fall 2010 app cycle, (April 2010), but didn’t start until January 2011 due to the spring admission :p.

And yup! I’ll be graduating in 3 semesters with 1 summer session (this past summer). I kind of just want to get out of undergrad as cheaply and quickly as possible. That’s always kind of been my plan. From there, I’m thinking business or med school…it’s just a matter of figuring out where my heart’s at :).

I wish you the best!
