There are many other OCU alums in productions on Broadway and around the country. These are just the ones I could readily find. As you can see recent grads are working! Many current students are getting ready to do summer stock but I do not have a list of those. I got most of these off of the Bass School of Music Facebook page which you should should follow if you don’t already. But just thought those headed to OCU or considering it might find this of interest. I’ll add to it if I hear any more!
Belinda Allyn and Manna Nichols hav both recently been cast in the new Broadway musical. allegiance starting Lea Salonga and George Takei. Previews begin October 6th with the show officially opening NOVEMBER 8Th.
I don’t know if everyone here follows the Bass School on Facebook, but they’ve had tons of recent posts about alumni successes, in MT as well as other areas of music. Very heartening to this mom who has a daughter studying there!
Yes @lcoulter32724. Lots of great things happening for OCU grads. For those who may not follow - here are just a few things that have happened recently:
Sarin West '15: Vanishing Point, Fringe NYC; When The Cats Away - Off Broadway; Futurology the Musical - NYC
Mary Beth Nelson '14: Seagle Music Colony; Baker’s Wife, Into the Woods
Courtney Kallbacker: Washington National Opera; Lost In The Stars
Alyssa Fox: continues as Elphaba in National tour of Wicked
Tiffany Hopper '15: Daisy Buchanan, The Great Gatsby, Bayou City Theatrics
OCU Theatre also just won a regional Emmy Award for their production with City Rep of The Grapes of Wrath on PBS Oklahoma
And if you are a strong dancer, you might consider auditioning for the dance school as well. Recent news from them includes recent grads cast in the national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sesame Street Live, numerous people cast with Celebrity Cruiselines and also Clifton Samuels cast in Amazing Grace and Sasha Hutchings in Hamilton.
