Well good thing we still have women only scholarships to help them out. We need to keep the acceptance standards for women going into engineering lower as well. I mean, it’s completely sexist that they have such a low number.

because guys are dumb ****s. I say that and im a guy lol. doesn’t bother me, more girls to choose from when im at college. =). Its true though, whenever you meet a girl who seems like she is stupid, she still happens to get good grades. Don’t get that much with guys, their either smart or dumb. Most are dumb, atleast where im from.

Well, to the UGA senior, they’re all at tech. I’ve had a dozen classes already where I’ve been the only girl in a class ranging from 15 - 50 people … it’s a bit overwhelming sometimes!

I totally agree. So far, I’ve not seen a single male student in my classes at Mt Holyoke. I think I’ve seen a single guy in one of my lectures, but I don’t think he was a student.

Jeepers, where are all these women I’m hearing about? Crammed in the early childhood education, social work, and nursing colleges? There’s not a single chick in my differential equations class, and men easily outnumber the ladies in all of my other classes.

My sociology class is almost all future trophy wives but my signal processing class was almost all dudes. Just depends on what courses you’re taking. But overall yeah there are more women than men in college.

One must wonder why you’d have trouble finding dudes at Mount Holyoke ;).

“I am usually one of very few women in my classes, so I think it is definitely worth considering concentrations within majors.”

Nationally the only majors where women are a minority are STEM areas excluding biology and biomedical science (cited from Newsweek). I think undergrad business majors are majority male, but I’m not completely sure. There’s probably more variation within certain colleges.

wow good point MLDwoody when was the last time you saw a scholarship for men only. Good thing were adding incentives for them to go to school cuz clearly men are dominating the campuses.
