I see quite a bit of people getting accepted, but, as expected, not that many accepted into the Honors College. Where are you guys? Are you going to be living in the Honors LLC? Excited for the benefits that the Honors students receive? Anyone into studying abroad?

Feel free to share the plans you have while you're at USF!

I have been accepted into the honors college. I accepted the terms and conditions of the scholarship yesterday on my OASIS. I want to apply for the Provosts scholarship. But, when I enter my USF Id and Zip code to start my provost scholarship app form, it says that this USF Id was not found in our database of the honors students. Can I know y this happens?

I accepted my scholarships a couple weeks back, as well. I’m interest led in the Provost program, but I feel as if it may be too short term for my liking. I want to study abroad…possibly double major. I haven’t tried looking into the application. I’ll share with you if I had the same problems as you.

I accepted mine a while back and am just waiting for the application for the Honors LLC to open. It said it would open in January but it’s definitely February.

Sweet! I was, until recently, in the same situation as you. UF or USF Honors. Well let me tell you, today really changed my feelings! I went to Stampede and all my questions were answered and I realized USF has the things I want in a college. Welcoming professors, research opportunities, connections and internship opportunites, multiple study abroad programs, along with the priority registration the comes along with the Honor college. UF can’t give me that. They can’t give me the beach nor the money that USF forked over.

Money was the biggest deciding factor for me. I don’t want any student debt. I want a college where I’ll be able to go abroad at least once (or twice) without having to take out extra money. USF did that for me. USF all the way. Go BULLS!

Just take the USF honors. AT UF you’d be nothing but a number. I know it seems to matter now that all your friends may be announcing that they are going to UF. However, a USF graduate vs a Harvard graduate with the same degree in the same company make about the same. USF will open doors for you, they will call you special and make you special. UF will say, we have 20 more like you.

JMaria I’m not sure if yoh already know this, but the Honors LLC Application had opened up! At first I didn’t want to be in the Juniper Hall, but after seeing the traditional dorms, I’m running towards it :P
