<p>Most colleges have <em>some</em> geeks; it depends on the major.</p>
<p>Try Case Western Reserve University. Great place and great post-college job placement. MQD, I think your son would really like it there. It has a great engineering department and would be worth at least considering.</p>

<p>I’d consider myself somewhat of a geek. I’m majoring in Computer Science at Miami. It’s a huge school, there must be a substantial amount of geeks…though I’m having a hard time making friends too</p>
<p>By the way, there’s a picnic for engineering and computer science students on Thursday, Sept 5, from 5-7pm behind the Engineering building. Not sure if non-CSE majors are invited, but I really don’t think anyone would care, and you’d find geekier people there.</p>
<p>Fwiw, emberjed (above) is also a freshman comp sci major (game studies minor), in Tappan. The term geek seems almost irrelevant; he seems to have found students there who are legit into the material without being jerks about it.</p>
