where are the ordinary people?

If you don't mind posting it.... I wanted to know who had average or low scores that got into Harvard. Everyone mentions that they had 1500 or higher and 4.0 or higher GPAs, but I wanted to know if they are people who aren't "perfect" apply and being accepted. (maybe this will give me more hope). Thanks for the help.
Also i want to know is it hard to transfer into Harvard.

I feel the same way. I did well on my SAT I but I am nowhere near some of these other people. There must be some regular people that got in. I would like to here from them

I had a 3.96 GPA if that helps. Damn Spanish ;()

i didn't do so hot on the SAT :D

I had a 1350 SAT and 32 ACT and got wait-listed (then rejected) by Harvard. Hope that kinda helps.

Had a 1460, in RD. The rest of my app was killer, though.

irish: wow you must've had some super ec's to even get on the waitlist with that sat score.

what the heck, a 1460 and a 3.96 isn't ordinary lol. And Ariadne, I bet you not doing so hot on your SAT means you got atleast a 1300+

how about this: i got a 1280 on my SAT and got in early action.

wow thats impressive. there must have been something really outstanding on your application

what was it

anyone out there with low a GPA and got accepted? (I heard it can be done)

Check out Zuma's Accepted/Waitlisted/Rejected posts.

Wait, 3.96 weighted or unweighted??

all u losrs. Ur just doin this post to see how YOU ppl can get in. Y don't u find your OWN unique ways of getting into your specific college. This is lower than cheating, this is just copying a person.

U never know when it comes to the Ivies. Just work your butt off like me and hope for the best. Jesus christ....A 4.0 unweighted is not difficult. If I could get one, do 13 EC's a year, take 17 friggin Ap's, still do medical research, have time to rehearse two hours a day in Violin to maintain first chair, win at least two international awards a year, start my own club, and get 2380 on the SAT's, then anything is possible.

And note, I'm NOT a rich or middle classer. I'm first generation CHinese and we all know how hard that is. Well...except for a few white elitist snobs.

JUST WORK FOR IT!! Don't expect life to come easy to you or to follow in someone else's footsteps. And if you ppl r only going to HArvard for prestige, I suggest you look for a better reason than that.

are you ******** serious?
you are GOD

i believe the thread is titled "ordinary people"?

he is probably insecure about his own problems (from that post it seems as if he has some serious problems). i don't understand how this is copying....that doesn't make any sense. copying what?

Hope 2 get rice - are you a Harvard student?
If so, I may have to rethink applying at all. I wouldn't want to be around jerks like you.

I'm ordinary- same position as you though, wondering if I have any chance in hell. Here it comes, GPA.....3.63. Yea yea, and I applied EA: Im a lunatic I know. But my EC's, SATs, and particularly volunteer work warranted that I take the chance.
