Where are the students of UIUC from? Are they from Lombard, Glendale Heights, etc?

I just immigrated to U.S 10 months ago, and right now I am attending a community college, and will be transferring after a year. I will be considering UIUC as my first option.
So, since I didn’t attend U.S high school, so I don’t have any hometown friends. So, I wondering that once I transfer to a university like UIUC, which is in-state for me, so am I going to find people there, who are from Glendale heights, Lombard, Glen Ellyn, Addison, Elmhurst, and other near-by areas?
I want some people to hangout with during my summer breaks.

You should probably ask people in real life, not online.

There are people from all over the world at UIUC. The largest population is in state students. There are students here from all over the US though, and there is a very sizable population of international students as well. There will be a lot of students from the greater Chicagoland area, so Lombard, Glen Ellyn, Addison, etc. will likely all be represented to at least some degree here. However, with 32,000+ undergraduate students and another 12,000+ graduate students, whether or not you actually encounter many other students from the Chicagoland area is another question.
