Hey guys, I'm sure a lot of you are top students who are planning on applying to some
top notch colleges. So I'm curious, where are you guys applying and what do you guys have to offer on your resume? Also, how confident do you feel that you can get into your target school with the resume you got?

I’m currently looking at: WashU, Brown, Cornell, Emory, Johns Hopkins, University of Maryland College Park (backup), UVA(?)

I’m not applying to Harvard/Princeton because my 3.71 GPA won’t get past the admissions. If I can get the fee waiver for applications, I might apply just to see, but it all depends on how much work college apps will be with my schedule.

I’m fairly confident I can get into all those schools save Brown and maybe Cornell, but since my family is on a tight budget, I’m looking for those who grant good scholarships, etc.

I’m from an upper middle class family, and my dad is of the opinion that 75 bucks is inconsequential in relation to 200,000 and 4 years of my life, so he is letting me apply to a bunch of schools, just to see where I get in and how much FA I get.

ED: Columbia- maybe?

n0vad: Princeton doesn’t count freshman grades, so maybe you should consider applying if your freshman grades are what made your GPA drop.

I got the same number of Bs (two in high level courses) for both sophomore and freshman year, but that’s a great tip to know. Thanks!

Rice! ED

And if that fails, then:
Middlebury
Bowdoin
Cornell
Pitzer

Any suggestions that fit that general theme? I have hit a block.

Thanks :)
