<p>Don't apply to schools based on how much it costs to apply. If money is a big issue for you and your family, you can apply for a fee waiver... and if not, spend the money for schools you're serious about. $70 is a lot, especially if you're applying to a lot of schools... but college tuition is a lot, so think of the application fee as an investment. If you apply to schools that fit you, you're more likely to be spending your tuition money on a place where you'll be happy and learn a lot.</p>

<p>That link for Notre Dame is Notre Dame College, not U of ND. Biiig difference! (I accidentally signed up for the NDC mailing list instead of U of ND. Average ACT score at the college is something like 20. Definitely very different schools!)</p>
