where can I buy a lamp for studying??

i live in Founders hall.

Don’t they already have desk lamps? If you are interested, I got a desk lamp with natural lighting (I think it helps with winter blues too) on sale. I bought it for my son but he said the dorm (Founders) provided him with a desk lamp, so he did not need the lamp I bought him. I am not sure if you are just not satisfied with the Founders lamp?

This lamp lasts for many years (very energy efficient and light bulbs last for many years).
PM me if you are interested in more info.

The desk lamp is from Verilux and has natural spectrum lighting which brings daylight indoors. It is a good lamp for reading. On sale for $49.95 (discounted from $79.95).

We have used the equivalent floor lamp for years without having to replace the specialized light bulbs.

where can I buy it? should I buy it online?

SAT2350,

I actually found the desk lamp through Amazon for you with free shipping. Take a look (there are different colors):

[Amazon.com: Verilux Original Natural Spectrum Deluxe Desk Lamp, Graphite: Health & Personal Care](http://www.amazon.com/Verilux-Original-Natural-Spectrum-Graphite/dp/B000F97B44/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=office)

Thank you so much for your help!
but,Is it bright enough to make my room brighter?
I cannot find a picture that shows the lamp turned on.

You want a lamp to make your room brighter and not just for working at the computer or reading? Then this may not be it. Iknow the same brand, Verilux, has the floor lamp that you can adjust for reading or to expand to the larger area for room light. However, that sells for approximate. $89.95 and it is not a desk lamp. Take a look:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=verilux+floor+lamps&x=-151&y=8</a>

So you want a desk lamp to shed light throughout the room. In that case, you probably have to move up in price. I know Levengers has desk lamps that give light to the whole room but the prices are not cheap.

Try the Amazon site and read through their reviews of desk lamps that meet your criteria. I have no personal knowledge of these desk lamps.

[Amazon.com: desk lamps](http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=desk+lamps&x=-146&y=10)

As I said, Levengers is expensive; they have one featured multi-task lamp that may be what you are looking for, but the price is $199. The good thing is Levengers stands by their products. Any problems, they will work with you. Take a look:

In regards to my post #7 on this thread, I have had the Verilux floor lamp for 7+ years and it is still going strong. I have not needed to change the bulbs in all this time. Also, by adjusting the gooseneck, I find that there is enough light for most of the room, albeit the light is white. (This is the first floor lamp shown on the Amazon site on floor lamps, retailing for 89.95, which I bought years ago for $170.)

I am not sure if the floor lamp will fit the bill for you. In that case, look at my posts regarding desk lamps.

Yeah, those ceiling lamps are lame, at least in brittany, where I live. It’s all for the sake of saving energy I guess.

The lighting in Lafayette is crappy as well. Large room, high ceilings with dull lighting. Same for the common area.

Thank you!! :)
