Where can I/how can I create a free website?

I want to know that too! Anyone?

yahoo has website service that is free...it aint great, and you have to be a member. Any free website place is gonna be kinda crummy and your space will be loaded with ads (from my experience, at least)

If you want a good one you'll have to but it.

Why don't you buy a domain name? During sale they are often sold for $1.

actually buying a domain and using adware can be 'profitable'!

www.googlepages.com

Nice and quite intuitive.

oh well, it's kinda like the blogs since google page will be included in the domain.

Tripod (10 char)

is geocities still around? i remember it from yore.

There are free domain name services like freedomain(www.freedomain.co.nr). They award domain name like website-name.co.nr which is pretty much ok for most of the people.

Yeah, it's Yahoo Geocities now (or was it always that?). I made my first website with geocities.

Anyway if I were to decide to create a website now I'd probably go with buying a cheap domain name, just so that I'd have a bit more bandwith and no undesired ads. Not to mention my own domain name.

If you want to create a forum/messageboard though, ProBoards and InvisionFree are good free sites.
