Hi,

try EPGY or Pennsylvania Homeschoolers.

It really is not very hard to self-study for AP exams. It is much easier than trying to invent a study program out of thin air for a non-AP subject. The topics to be covered are well defined, and there are textbooks, review books, and other materials that are very specific to the exam. The only thing an AP course would really do for you is keep you on a schedule and give you feed back on your essays, which you may or may not really need.

Im doing AP Calc and AP Physics through EPGY.

The ones I've heard of are EPGY, PAHomeschoolers, and Apex Learning (http://www.apexlearning.com/catalog/catalog_ap.htm)

I have no personal experience with any of the AP courses at these places. My son took EPGY courses beyond calculus from EPGY and liked them. I've heard through the years from people who were very satisfied with PAHomeschoolers. I haven't heard anything about Apex Learning, other than it exists.

I'm doing a class through Apex and have...mixed feelings about it. The courses don't provide enough information to do the homework - you need at a bare minimum, one outside textbook, required, suggested, or not. There are also sometimes technological problems - they lose assignments that were properly sent. Overall it's good, but somewhat labor intensive. I'm in a science class, and I have no idea how the others are.

As a warning, the refunds for a significant amount are during the time when you are in the first unit which is the easiest/most fun. They will let you switch courses after that, though.

Oh, and I would NOT reccomend taking an AP science course without having taken a non-AP version of it, unless you're willing to spend 2-3 hours a day on it, or really have a great affinity for that particular science (hard to tell without having taken the course).
