Where can I find good practice tests for Sat II Eng. Lit?

My son has taken the Lit practice test in the College Board SAT II book but he needs more practice. I know that College Board's own questions are always best to practice with but I can't find any other source of real SAT II lit exams. Are there any available? If not, can anyone recommend a review book with good practice tests?

Also, he has an AP English Language/AP English Lit review book. Are the AP and SAT II literature tests enough alike that taking the AP Lit practice tests would be helpful? He's taking AP Eng. Lang. this year and will take AP Lit next year as a senior.

There doesn't seem to be much discussion on CC about the SAT II literature test -- at least not as much as the history, math and science tests. Why don't more kids take the lit test? Is it really, really hard?

u know i was wondering the same thing, im taking the literature really soon and i need a good bok? i dont kow of any, but i saw kaplan and the princeton review one? are they any good?

i found that SAT II lit is basically the same as the CR section of SATI, except with poems. I used the barrons book but it really wasnt helpful. i gave up trying to study for it after a while and i ended up getting 740 on my third go. i find that the difficulty varies a lot with each test too. To practise, i recommend just doing the CR section of the SAT I. Im convinced that it's impossible to study for Lit.

Not tough...The AP and SAT 2 Lit exams are very different, since the SAT2 is just 60 multiple choice. Tell your son just to work on analyzing poetry...Get him a book of Shakespeare's poems, have him read through a dozen of the sonnets and try analyzing them line-by-line/term-by-term/idea-by-idea...that's really the key! The tests aren't really tough if you have experience with literary analysis. It's worth 10 study books. I would recommend that he read a lot and also practice analyzing the tone of pieces...That's quite a bit of the test.
