Any websites? Ways to find for high school students thru. the internet/ data bases/ newspaper/ etc... Preferably, where would I find one that pays for rising juniors?

I, myself, am looking for an internship. I was going to apply for one at one of our local newspapers but they just CUT staff, so doubt that would work out....

I am also looking for internships, im searching but still havent found anything ! so if anyone found please provide us with the links ! Thanks :)

You're not going to find a paid internship as a high schooler, especially in this economy.

^Actually, I've seen some paid internship positions out there. But they're mostly for the medical field though.

I'm a senior and have managed to find two internships this summer (one with biomedical engineers, another with a group that provides study materials for a national competition). I found both just by asking; my father works with the engineering company, and since I'm going into biology, they're allowing me to help out a bit. With the other, I happened to meet the CEO of the company, who took a liking to me and just flat-out offered the internship after we spoke. Just ask around, send emails or letters somewhere that interests you, and tell them a way you can help them out.

^ Aghhh-- Thanks but, I can't get help from my parent's coworkers (I don't want to explain why- privacy issues here)
I want something in the medical, science, biology, research, creative writing? (not sure if there is something like that, but I'll say so anyway) , history, interesting field. Liberal arts.
I emailed 2 colleges in the city, but none have responded :(

I don't know where else to ask-- do typical hospitals allow highschoolers? & do they do reseach stuff?

Check out websites of local colleges/universities. They often have stuff up there. That's how I found one for me.

And a hospital that my friend volunteered at had a summer volunteer thing for teens under 18. And if you were 18 you could just volunteer anytime you wanted - didn't have to wait for the summer. So check out hospitals around your area. It's good to find others that have done hospital work so you can find out which places have fun volunteering (interacting with patients&such) and not crumby paperwork stuff(filing/answering phone).
