Where can i find more info on housing? (NB)

Also, is there any way to get single room dorms or apartment style dorms with your own room as a freshman?

No...getting a single room is near impossible to get for freshman year. How ever i think they have apartment style on Busch. As a matter a fact they both are hard to get as a freshman. I think alot of the freshman will be placed on Livingston from what i heard. You should try traditional sytle dorming, its fun and you get to meet alot of people. Single room for fresman wont be nearly as from as dorming traditionally.

also call the housing office.

you can find more information on housing at the link provided http: //housing.rutgers.edu/ie/

Apartments are for upperclassmen only, meaning it is impossible for freshman to get them. There are honors suites (6 people) on Busch for the honors students. Singles are near impossible, either your roommate drops out and the university doesn't replace them or you convince the university of some reason you need to dorm alone. Unless they change policies your either a freshman in a double, or if your an honors student who can apply to the suites. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Oh I forgot to mention speciality housing such as the discovery houses. There housing for students with special interests such as languages (people who have an interest in French for example, may live in the French discovery house) theres a writing house as well. Theres also specialty housing for people interested in the RU-TV program and a few other things. I'm not to sure about how there setup, whether there is singles or apartment style or what. But there is only limited space for these options.
