Hi Im a high schooler who is actively looking for colleges to apply to.
However, I don’t know where to apply, meaning I don’t know where I have a chance and where I don’t
I’m thinking of Engineering so some suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
My GPA unweighted is around 3.6, but I take rigorous courses. (AP Chem, AP Bio, AP Lang, AP Calc all in JR year). Weighted around 4.3
ACT: 34
EC: Math Club President, Chem Club Vice president, 10 Years of violin, 400 hours of community service.
Thank you!
What is your home state? What is your budget? What size school do you want? Do you want college town or urban environment? Also, it will probably be hard to answer these questions if you have never visited a school before.
Home state? How much can you and your family afford each year? Looking to stay in-state or considering OOS? Large/Small/Urban/Rural? Private/Public/LAC? Geographic locations and/or restrictions? With thousands of colleges, you need to give some guidelines.
Have you visited any schools in which you liked or disliked? Which ones?
My home state is NJ. Family budget around 40-50K a year max. Both in state and out of state is good, although I prefer out of state. Public or private doesn’t matter, but I prefer urban environment. Thank you!
Rutgers I’m sure is a good option and I think they give merit aid to instate students with high scores. Ohio state gives good aid to out of state students. What is your class rank?
My school doesn’t do class ranks
