<p>I recently got a job in a biochemistry lab at the university in my town, but not every town has a university or facility that can fund projects like that.</p>
<p>We got our state university like 20 minutes away or so....But how would I apply to help with research?</p>
<p>local lab, local med school, local uni, etc....you need to show that you're competent in science and well-versed in the topic you're interested in. This includes but is not limited to: prior research stints, completion of college-level courses in the field you're in, and frequent visits to google scholar to read up on articles pertaining to your research.</p>

A lot of CCs put it on there ECs so I guessed you guys would know.</p>
<p>Well, I found all the job offerings on the university website. Maybe you could find the page for your local university and see if they have a lob listing. </p>
<p>Then you could go to the university and talk to the employment office about applying for the job. That's how it works here, but I don't know how things work everywhere else, really. :-S</p>
