Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Cornell, NYU, Boston College, Berkeley, Brown and Georgetown.

I am a white female from California. My school does not give exact ranks, but I know that I am in the top 10% of my high school.
GPA: 4.13

10 APs in all of high school. Good volunteer activities and I am a ballet dancer. I candystripe and I am part of many clubs, publicity for French Club and Facilitator of Tolerance Club.

SAT: 1410 (640v 770m)
SAT II: 740 writing, 710 chemistry, 700 math IC

ALSO, what can I do to improve my chances? What am I weak in?

You have a VERY good chance at berk, sorry I'm not sure about the others, but most of them are slight-high reaches. apply and see what happens! =)

Just my 2 cents about your school list at best:

Yale: Iffy
Princeton: Iffy
Columbia: Iffy
Cornell: Okay
NYU: Okay to Good
Boston College: Okay to Good
UC-Berkeley: Good
Brown: Iffy
Georgetown: Okay

I would suggest adding a few other universities and colleges to your list which are match or safety schools. Make sure your recs and essays are outstanding, and focus on just a few activities (more if you are truely gifted) that show depth and commitment, as well as leadership. Anyhow, goodl luck on your applications.

i would try to find a safety or two and a couple better matches

if you can take the SAT again, try to boost your score some

i applied to georgetown last year with slightly higher stats and didn't even get waitlisted, i had a friend in the top five of the class and he got waitlisted...

Brwneyes, look on the different school boards and compare your stats and ECs to the others. Are you more impressive that 9/10? Then look at the school's admissions stats. Are you securely above average? If yes, then you have a reasonable shot. If no, you don't.

My two cents: although your numbers are strong, you mention some of the most selective schools in the country. Do you have a truly outstanding EC/recs/essay?

I'm a little more pessimistic:
Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Brown: big reaches
Georgetown, Cornell: reach
NYU, BC: match but they too can be tricky
UCB: not from Ca, don't know

My advice...more matches and a safety or 2.
