I'm looking for some classy clothes to wear like dress shirt and khaki pants, and I need some advice on where to get it. I don't want to pay a lot, I just want some more formal attire for school. Any suggestions?

Gender? That might help. :D

But JC penny is as good as any other place if you’re a guy.

Lol right I’m a male

Figured…

Ya, any department store, khols has good sales, Sears even is decent enough if you’re going for cheap khakis. Hmmm… I’m trying to think of places that aren’t local only.

Kohl’s is good. Banana Republic, maybe. Nordstrom has some nice stuff but it’s rather pricey. I would agree, basically any department store would be fine.

Can’t go wrong with J. Crew. Reasonable prices and nice clothes.

Seconding J. Crew.

old navy
10char

Old Navy’s pretty beastly.

old navy? are you all hipsters? polo or dont leave your house

If you’re a guy… It really doesn’t matter where you shop as long as you have a polo and khakis. You look nice. It’s pretty hard to go wrong.

If you’re a girl… It’s a different story.

I still say that you can buy really nice looking stuff at Old Navy, mainly because they have very plain clothes, which go a long way when you want to look classy.

Heck… You can get classy looking clothes at Wal-Mart. You just have to know what to look for.

Truth. If you’re a guy, it’s a lot easier.

However, since it seems like you’ll be wearing these a lot [if they’re for school], i recommend going for Banana Republic or J. Crew [or gap], since those are better quality, imo.

eBay!

Search under “used”

I know, I know… You’re afraid of “used” things. However, a lot of the items listed under used was bought by mistake, or they purchased the wrong size and want to gain some pennies back.

You’ll be surprised at what you’ll find!

I get almost everything at J.Crew haha. It might not fit your definition of “cheap” but J.Crew has some of the cheapest/widely available “nice” clothes you can buy.

Banana Republic is a good place to get nice clothing. Not the cheapest option but if you can find a Banana Republic outlet, they’ll have some good deals.

You guys have some skewed views of cheap! I can hardly afford Wal Mart some days. O.o

But ya, I agree with Old Navy. Get a sweater vest or two. Mmmmmm… A guy in a sweater vest… Oh my goodness… Ok, back on topic and out of my day dream here… But Old Navy has some great stuff for guys. I’d hit up there and Khols if I were you. They’re your cheapest options. If you’re willing to dole out a few more dollars, I’d go with GAP/J. Crew/Banana Republic, but be prepared for a price jump.

You know, it’s become much more common for people to shop at thrift stores now. I’ve found brand-name stuff super cheap at thrift stores and gotten tons of compliments on them. YOu just have to be willing to look

For really stylish inspiration, try looking on lookbook and then replicating their outfits.
