Where can i go to learn some difficult grammAr?

I have trouble with IDIOMS, DICTION, and the more arcane verb tenses like past participles and perfect participles or whatever...

Know of any sources to help brush up on these areas? They are reasons why i'm not getting close to perfect scores on the sat writing.

Barron's SAT II Writing guide helped my grammar greatly. In my writing class, we used "The Little Brown Handbook" or something along those lines (the book is not little or brown though). It seemed to be quite comprehensive.

Grammar improves when you practice and study. Practice by writing and rewriting.

Also: if you know of any "strategies" for attacking usage and sentence completion questions, please share the wealth!

bumppppppppppp

Well, you don't NEED to know anything difficult grammar-wise for the writing test, but those arcane rules are good to know anyway for college; the little brown handbook, like somebody else mentioned, is very comprehensive.

alright, i decided to just buy it. it was like 10 bucks for the 8th edition. not bad.
