where can i go with gpa of 3.5...

im an international kid(junior right now) whos living in us right now(moved 4 yrs ago).. well i dont have such a stellar gpa..
all i got is unweighted 3.5/4 and 3.86 weighted (25% out of my class)in an quite competitive public high school..
im member of few clubs such as key club and habitat..and im running for board positions next year for them..but i dont have great ec besides that and 50 community service hours(more to come over the summer.. trying to get 130 at the end).(lame excuses but i live too far away to do stuff and this school is known for giving alot of hw to students..) im on honor tracks for science and math..i havent taken sat yet but lets just say my score is 2000 and 31 for act (those are my goals)

i want to major engineering.. i know what school i want to go but i need some realistic or safety schools. agian safeties..not reaches..

well im asian so parents are crazy about the prestigious so names are somewhat important (in other ways, not schools like cal lutheran or liberty) but im trying to be realistic...(in gist, i dont wanna go harvard or mit.... my biggest reach is emory and i prolly wont get in(i have religious tie so thats my rents are crazy about emory).. i wanna go to lafayette or colorado college but those are great reaches as well)

well thanks for reading my questions and slight complainmnet.. please list me some safety colleges for me..

I think you probably have a good shot at Colorado College, although I don’t think they offer engineering.

Check out Carnegie Mellon University and University of Southern California (my gpa is ~3.6, act 34, and I got in to both- honors program at USC). Many state schools also have good engineering programs.

I think you would like Wake Forest

Try Wisconsin Madison or the University of Minnesota.

I thought UW-Madison was more numbers orientated. Try Carnegie Mellon or your state school. I’m not so sure about LACs but you might want to look into those too.

You could have shot at Ga Tech if you got SAT math close to 800 since it counts Math SAT twice in their admission. Their admission format is 2 X math SAT + Verb SAT + 1000 * GPA. Virginia Tech and NC State have good engineering program and could worth a shot as well.

By the way, CMU engineering school is much difficult to get into than those school mentioned above since it has smaller program.
