Where can I go with these stats?

Hey, guys. I am a sophomore at a very competitive, military-like, all-boys high school in Minnesota. I had 3.8 GPA for freshman year. I am very disappointed about my first semester grades during sophomore year, having about a 3.7 unweighted. However, I have bounced back, and I am possibly looking at a 4.0 unweighted for second semester. My dream school I Notre Dame. I would also love to go to Boston College. I am just wondering what schools I should be looking at as potential schools that I could be accepted to.

P.S. I am thinking I might want to major in Business. Possibly finance in particular. However, I am not yet certain about what I want to do.

Any other info besides GPA?

I am taking Honors Algebra 2/Trigonometry and Honors Biology this year.

Going to be taking APUSH next year. I will also be taking honors Pre-Calc, Honors Critical Reading and Writing, and possible Honors Chemistry and Honors Spanish 4 (I havent decided about Chemistry or Spanish).

*We are not allowed to take any APs until junior year.

2 years of high school soccer. One JV and one Varsity.
2 years of high school lacrosse.
Big commitment to year-round soccer.
Most likely going to have a job at a hardware store over the summer.
Soccer referee for two years.
Hoping to volunteer and be a camp counselor for a week-long camp at the end of summer.

Both are reaches because of low gpa, no leadership. U need more extracurricular too. Good luck!

Ur being trolled by person above me ur on the right path

it’ll all depend on your essays and scores

Notre Dame seems to really favor people with high scores, so

Notre Dame Mendoza: Reach (aim for 2150+/32+)
Boston College Carroll: Aim for 2100+/31+

I’d advise adding some leadership to bolster your application. Find a passion and do something with it.

Do you have any scores (even a PSAT), also how good do you think your essays will be?

Thanks for all of the responses. Regarding the leadership topic, I am hoping to be a soccer captain for my senior year. I was also a captain of the freshman-sophomore lacrosse team (if that means anything??).
In regard to the essays, I believe I am a good essay-writer. I usually get good grades whenever I have a paper due. I also do not mind writing essays.

Does anybody know some other viable colleges I could possibly be looking at?

There are no specific colleges you should look at, you just want to make sure you have a balanced list. Once you have scores use super match on CC, it will give you schools that are realistic based on your stats and will also meet the various things you might want in a college (size, location and so on)…
