what colleges can i apply with a 2.8 - 3.0 unweighted gpa?
yeah i screwed up my hs year
i just want to know the gpa range sat is not that great
any suggestions will be great!

Your state’s flagship might be a possibility, depending on where you live.

Topick, it seems like (at least with our schools) that they pretty much looked at whatever gpa was on the transcript, so they will most likely be looking at your weighted gpa. Some schools to possibly look at would be Clark (MA), St. Lawrence, Skidmore, Hobart, Ursinus, Allegheny, Drew, St. Marys (Maryland), Franklin & Marshall, Goucher, Wooster and Ohio Wesleyan. Best of luck!

Xavier, Miami Ohio, your state school

Skidmore and Franklin & Marshall are pretty selective - they’re not likely possibilities. Especially if the SAT scores are low too.

Ursinus would be out too unless you have really good SAT scores and came from a super rigorous high school. They received 6,000 apps this year for 450 spots…I think they accepted 900.

Try the college match finder at myusearch.com If you don’t want them to contact the schools they match you with, you can opt-out of that service on the last page. (I know it is a drag to have to put in all kinds of personal info before they will give you a list of matches, but that’s the way the site works.)

Ohio Wesleyan’s GPA range also suggests that it will be an unlikely candidate for you. The 5% of students who happen to have your GPA are probably the athletes or people who make up for their low GPA by considerably higher SAT scores.
