I’m a sophomore this year and taking precalculus and attempting the AP Calculus AB test as well, and my school only offers Calculus AB and BC. I’m just wondering if there’s a university I can take Calculus II online either during the summer or during one semester of the next school year, so I won’t have to repeat material in Calculus BC.
Do you have a local community college?
Yes, but they don’t offer a Calculus II dual enrollment class
Calculus BC is considered equivalent to calculus 1 and 2 at most colleges. If you want to continue math beyond that, you can take calculus 3, linear algebra, and/or differential equations at a local college, assuming that your AP score is high enough and you have checked your knowledge against the college’s calculus 1 and 2 final exams.
A college course taken while in high school need not be under a formalized dual-enrollment program, particularly if you do not need more high school credit.
Do you mean quarter-based Calc II or semester-based Calc II? They are different.
Semester
In that case, i think Calculus II and Calculus BC are considered to be equivalent. Check the AP credit policy of the college you want to go to, to make sure.
