where can I or should I go?? help please

I am a junior and just got back my SATs today

CR-700
Math-650
Writing-780

I have around a 92 GPA in all honors classes, plus I got to a school with a dual curriculum...thats 11 classes. I think I want to go Pre-Med, I'd love to go to a college on the east coast.

Here's where I'm thinking so far:

Emory University-I'll be one of two or three applying from my school
Hopkins
Barnard
Brandeis
BU
NYU
U. of Maryland

Could I get in2 any of these schools? Where else should I be looking?

Thanks :)

BUMP!!

plus a whole bunch of ECs.

Can you afford all those schools on your list without aid?

Get that SAT up. Those are pretty competitive schools, so your CR/Math should probably be at least 1400. Not that you don’t have a chance, but that would certainly help.

I think you could get into UMaryland, NYU, and possibly Emory, but definitely try to get that math score up!

I’ve taken Barnard and Hopkins off of the list, which makes it much easier!

What can your family afford?

Have you calculated your EFC yet on the Collegeboard website with parents 2010 tax returns? EFC = Expected Family Contribution

Do you have a divorce situation with your parents? Do you have a step parent?

Will you be full pay and not eligible for financial aid, so that $50,000 plus is no problem for all 4 years? It is best to discuss finances NOW, as it affects what schools you should apply to.

Emory is a slight reach for you. You need to bring up the math part up which shouldn’t be that hard. Aside from Emory you have a solid shot at everywhere else you listed. If you are Maryland instate, you have good chance of getting into the Honors program which is pretty nice as well.

Emory and JHU are great schools for pre-med. Definitely improve your SAT and GPA for either schools.
