Hi, I'm a freshman and I'm confused. My schedule has many 1-hour breaks between classes. For example, I have Math 53 discussion in 39 Evans, then 1-hour break, then ESPM 50AC lecture in 10 Evans. I have tried to come back to my dorm room in Foothill for the break, but I heard that some people stay somewhere to study between classes. Any suggestions on such places?

Back in the dark ages, kids used to study in the library. :D

Check out Bancroft, for example, or any of the departmental libraries close to Evans.

I like the Earth Sciences library in McCone Hall or the Business/Economics library in the "S" wing of Haas.

I live in Foothill too, and I usually go to the library and do homework or go on the internet between classes. Also, there are sometimes nice places to sit outside and do work, etc.

There's a library in Evans right across from the 3 Main elevators, you can certainly take a break or study or go on the computers there. You can always visit the Northside "Asian Ghetto" for a snack or something.

Yea.. there's plenty of awesome libraries on campus. Other than Evans, a really nice one for your situation would be Kresge Engineering Library, located right behind Evans next to Bechtel under the Terrace Cafe. There's plenty of tables for you to study there and plenty of computers for you to use there. Along with VLSB library, it's on the top of my list.

Hey! I'm in ESPM 50AC also, easy class so far...

You could walk down the hill a bit and just into the main campus library, you could relax and read on the grass on memorial grove (until it starts raining argh) or maybe even on a bench near a building. :)

i have an hour break between my classes as well, so that's where i stick brunch in. i walk over to one of the cafes on campus and pick up a sandwich.

That's good for you. An hour is just the right time to eat something and take a break. However, I always have breakfast, lunch and dinner, so it doesn't work well for me......

Library, 'tis air-conditioned there :].
