Hi, iI’m a student at Fordham University (FCRH) and i’m just curious as to where I would be able to transfer with good extracurriculars a 1320(710M/610CR) SAT (2000 w/ writing) and a 3.7 or greater GPA. (Disclaimer: I don’t actually have this GPA as it is still my first semester). In HS I had about a 90 average. I’m curious if I were too achieve a GPA of 3.7 or greater where would I be able to transfer? I’m very interested in UNC Chapel Hill, William and Mary, UVA, Vanderbilt.
A few subquestions…
- Will one semester of a 3.7 get me into the schools listed, when taking into consideration everything else I mentioned?
- Does it hurt to apply? (If I weren’t to get in, and decided to apply again next year, would previously being denied put me at a disadvantage at all?)
- Is there any modified transfer process for schools that I applied to and was accepted to out of High School?
- Do schools like UNC and UVA still have extremely selective acceptance rates for OOS students for transfers.
- Would it be necessary to retake my SAT for these schools?
- Would Fordham being Jesuit give me any advantage if I applied to Georgetown?
- Are High School extracurriculars considered in the application process?
