So, looks like I was misinformed and haven’t taken any Calculus classes, but my GPA is a 2.7 major is Business Administration. I’m thinking about applying to a couple UC’s who would take me if I want to transfer as a business major with a low GPA, and I will be completing Business Calculus this Summer.
Here is a link for UC Transfer GPA admit rate by major and campus:

Anything under a 3.0 is probably not going to happen. Even UC Merced’s admit range is 2.97-3.62.
You might want to target some Cal states instead or spend another year your community college and bump up your GPA.
Thanks, yeah I was thinking the same. I’ve had a pretty tough couple of years, so I was hoping maybe I could try to get in somewhere. Thanks
Budget?
What concentration within business?
It’s just business admin. I’m thinking of changing my major to something that isn’t impacted so it makes my chances of getting in easier. I don’t have a budget really…
Regarding the 2.7, can you retake any classes that you got below a 70% in?
Also, are you in community college or at a CSU?
I cannot retake any classes with a C or above i’m at a community college,
So with the 2.7 are you a consistent B/C student then, with no Ds or Fs?
Right, I’ve only had one F, but I retook the course and it replaced the grade with a B.
I was also looking into changing my major to gender studies, take the required courses for the course, then transfer as that major. Once I get in I can pay the fee of changing majors and switch to business.
You can’t always just “pay the fee” and get in. A lot of the more prestigious schools require a separate application for the business school .
