Hey guys, first of all...happy new years eve!

i just received my 1st semester grades from Fordham and my GPA is a 3.87
My HS gpa was roughly a 3.6, ACT was a 31 and SAT was a 1330/2030.
SAT II's: 750 for Math I, 750 for US History
8 APs throughout HS

I have a few good ECs but based strictly from what I listed above, what caliber schools should I be looking at for transferring next year?

Fordham is a great school, dont get me wrong, but I cant see myself there for the next 3 years after this one.

so I guess my question is, where can a 3.87 from a reputable university like Fordham land me? NYU? USC? CMU?

Haha, wow, lots of people leaving Fordham. I just transferred out of Fordham myself. :)

One of my freshman roommates (LC) transfered to Cornell with about that GPA. It was the only place she applied. Cornell is a big transfer school but you can definitely go to a better school with that GPA. Her SAT’s were a bit lower than yours too.
Another friend with about the same GPA (maybe .1 higher) transferred to UPenn after last Spring as well.

I will be attending a top 30 LAC next semester with a lower GPA than you (sophomore). I also had a lot of EC’s and volunteering though.

Most deadlines are in March so you don’t have long to figure out the application, but if you devote break to it I think you can end up at a really great school next Fall. :)

Would you guys recommend for me to hold off transferring until next year? Keep in mind, I’m only a freshman, meaning that colleges are going to pay more attention to my HS transcript ( where GPA is much lower). However, my college GPA is really attractive and I’d rather not risk it by waiting another 2 semesters with the chance that it’ll drop.
