Where did the SAT Calculator programs go??!

As of just a few months ago, I had no difficulty finding it. The one I'm referring to is the TI-84 one pictured at the bottom of this article: SAT calculator program - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Now every link, even TIcalc's archive, is dead! According to Wikipedia, some company "owns" it (which I think is just pathetic since I believe they shouldn't get credit) and it leads me to believe that they killed nearly every link that lead to the download. It's either a 404 or a dead link.

Can someone please do me a big favor and link me to a working link or better yet, upload it if you still have a copy of it on your computer. Unfortunately, I had to format computer and deleted it.

Why do you need an SAT calculator program?!?!?!?

It's cheating and its pointless, if you've ever taken an SAT you should know that these stupid programs don't help.

It's not cheating but it is pointless. SAT is 6th grade math, you do not need even a calc let alone a calc PROGRAM...

I have the quadratic formula programmed in my calculator to save time, but other than that most programs are only going to eat up more time than solving normally would.

If you don't want a calculator, then fine. Don't criticize me because I can solve problems more accurately and faster using a calculator. I'm not gonna waste my time finding out what the Square root of 2140 is when I have a handy program on my calculator that can get it for me in under a second.

It's like 112358 said. I have it to save TIME. I already know the materials on it. I want it for the sake of saving time. I know when and how to properly use equations and whatnot in a given problem. And better yet, use that knowledge with a program that allows me to process more and solve faster then by hand.

I am fully capable of solving math problems by hand. I just can do things faster with a calculator.

...Square root of 2140...requires a...program? What? Just press the square root button on your calculator and type in 2140. >_>

The test CAN be done without a calculator. The calculator saves time. A calculator program? Completely unnecessary. I fail to see anything on there that would actually be more useful than time consuming when taking the actual test.

To each his own. (Though programs definitely DON'T help in SAT reasoning math. I don't think you even have to solve quadratics on the test.)

stop beaking the guy... i was looking for one to save time as well, or at least to test out to see if it saves time but it doesn't look like there are many...

Anyone found this?

It'd also be useful to make a list of prime numbers, since those always come up.

i added that into my notes... screw memorizing them with 2 clicks i got 1 to 1000 in prime numbers... thats all u usually need

I have a TI-89. I didn't need it at all, I used it just for basic operations.

I don't know what you Americans call it. And quite frankly, I never paid attention to math terms. But when I said the square root of 2140, I meant the most simplified form of it. I don't know what you call it though. Simplifying radicals I guess? Anybody can get a decimal form obviously.

There are some people selling it because I bought it from a random guy on the internet.

I'll post the program when I get home.
Have it saved on my 89

The SAT Operating System is copyrighted software. It is not for sale or distribution by any company or persons. Any links or unauthorized distribution of the software is explicitly illegal. Test Tech Inc holds the intellectual property rights for the SAT Operating System.

Our SAT teacher has a load of random programs. There’s stuff for solving weird things. You can invent your own programs and bring them into the test. It is NOT cheating - although all the people on this board seem to think that - because college board doesn’t seem to care. No one at the testing center will be there to clear your calculator’s RAM or programs.

Programs are an excellent way to save time, and even though you likely won’t need them, they boost confidence at the very least.

Oh, and to second gobipie, programs are not cheating, because they let you use them. Especially for the Math II, my teachers tell us what programs we should have. They’re not allowed on my state tests, but they are on the SAT.

Wow its copyrighted now? I remember a few years ago when you were freely distributing it :x

I think the quadratic formula is really the only SERIOUSLY useful program.

Barrons gives you the script to enter into your calculator for QUAD
