Where did the Valedictorian at your high school end up?

One ended up at Duke and the other, I’m not sure.

Haha, he is lucky! @asjdeh Thanks for sharing!

Wow! That is really cool! I appreciate you looking that up! Thanks for sharing! @dfbdfb

Awesome! Thanks for sharing! @lnicole

ColumbiaU and GeorgiaTech

Of the Vals I know about, one is at CMU. Another went to MIT. Current one is at Amherst.

My mom said her class (Class of 1990) Val went to Caltech

Val of 2016 is at Stanford, while the sal is at Yale-NUS in Singapore!

Thats awesome! @slvd09

Small Top-Ranked Rural Public School
2014: Yale
2015: Brown
2016: Cornell

Bigger public school in PA:
2015 val is at Wilkes University.
2016 val is at Ohio State University on full scholarship.

Georgia Tech. Number 3 went to Harvard. Rank isn’t everything

True! @LexRex

2013 - PennState // Sal- Hamilton College
2014 - Lehigh// Sal- Temple U. // on another note #like 20 somethin got into Harvard
2015 - University of Pittsburgh // Sal- Bridgewater
2016 - Vassar // Sal- Lafayette (#16 got into Cornell)
Very varied 2016 got WL at Harvard but decided his #1 choice was Vassar. 2015 Sal went to Bridgewater?? (supposedly for a major the school doesn’t have so idk how she’s doing), Sal of 2016 went to Lafayette of Upenn due to wanting to stay close to home (but I think it’s $$$ she didn’t want to admit that)
Usually, in my school, the top 25% usually end up going to Moravian or Desales (local schools) or community college. It’s rare to see someone get into a top 100 college.

Wow! Thats so cool you remember! @CougarCatClan

@writer80 Thanks! For 2016, I know the Val&Sal as good acquaintances we did a club together (only 6 people in it lol) and got to know each other comfortably. Sal we had two classes together. They were very down to earth/humble, and I didn’t know their rank (never asked bc IDK, not my business) until graduation lol. Also #16 Cornell, we did a sport together.

2015 - It was controversial :open_mouth: in my school w/#2 lol, and #1 was seen as a “Lord” because he was a sports star and managed to be #1.
2013 & 2014 - My brother knew them. 2014-The guy who got into Harvard is the brother of Val 2016 lol, and I did a club with him too ha (had only like 10 people) ! :-j =)) The world is a small place lol.

One of my talents is remembering the pettiest and most random things ever, but never important material for tests! LOL. :))

In 1993 I was the val of my small rural PA high school. I only applied to two colleges (Cornell and PSU) and was accepted at both. I chose Penn State because I got into the honors program and was awarded merit scholarships that added up to full tuition. Cornell would have been too expensive. Got my degree in chemical engineering, worked in the oil industry for almost ten years, and left to become an “expat spouse” when we lived overseas. We’ve been back in the US for almost five years but I’ve discovered I really like being an at home mom. Not sure what I’ll end up doing when S18 goes off to college. Go back to school maybe.

Cute story! If going back to school is what you wanna do, I think its a great idea! @traveler98

Princeton

Cool! @experiment626
