oooooh volunteering i applied for an animal shelter volunteering thing too!...uh, i dont think they reject ppl? well anyways i get hours for playing with cats and dogs!!! how awesome is that?

my county animal shelter only takes vols over 18 years :/. it will be tough for you to see the dogs and realize that not all of them get a home though :(.

i thought about vol'ing at the hospital or senior center, old people can be either awesome or creepy. i have literally ZERO vol hours (EC involvement notwithstanding), and i'm applying to yale EA, so i def need to beef that up between now and november

got rejected from the Stanford summer program and the cornell nanobiotechnology internship, and accepted into Northwestern University's Colle Prep Program. No financial aid though. I really want to go, no clue where I'm going to get the money though. =/

heard back from questbridge about their college counseling award which required me to do another essay response on why i wanted it. but i haven't heard back about anything else. so tomorrow is the big day.

I still haven't heard, it is comforting to know I am not the only one. They were sending emails one would think it would not be that complicated. : (

rejected by questbridge counseling/visits/mentoring/summer school. havent heard from clark scholars, but i'm probably rejected considering the number of people that have gotten some sort of correspondence from them. oh well, i have middlebury monterrey language academy (arabic), and hopefully an internship at a law firm.
