Just curious... I made most of mine around dorms but don't have too many close ones... I'm hoping that'll change once I pledge a frat this spring...

Where did you guys make most of your friends / hope to make more friends?

Dorms, church, and chem labs

I started a club.

Most of my friends, I met through my fraternity, but that’s starting to change due to the social skills I gained in the mean time.

The idea is that you got to be proactive in making friends. Talk to people in your classes. If you see anyone interesting, try to form study groups or attempt to discuss the material after class.

Main difference between high school and college is that in high school, you’re forced into situations in which friendship happens. In college, you have to actively make these situations happen.

I totally agree excelblue. Good suggestions!

Definitely in class when there are group projects and other study session groups. Also clubs on campus help to meet new people.

Agree with excelblue, gotta be proactive in finding friends. A lot of the times at my school, students just come to class and go home, which makes it a commuter school. But yeah, join a club on campus.
