I thought I had a chance at LSE...rejected. Still need to wait for US univ.

Amherst - I thought the essay I wrote for them was the best out of all that I wrote, so I'm a tad heartbroken. Alas, woe is me. But I guess the admit rate was lower than last year (11%)? And my stats were in range. So I'm kind of going into the "Damn you!" mode concerning that school, haha. My friend got waitlisted though, with the same stats as me, but slightly higher SATs. I'm happy for her. (:

It isn't a school, but I think I should have been invited to interview for Regents at Berkeley. Perhaps I wouldn't win anything, but given the stats of those invited to interview, I think I should have been given a chance.

Maybe this is just me being overconfident though.

hmm Northwestern..

i mean they rejected me!

BU! they waitlisted me. my stats aren't amazing but they're on par with BU. URRRGHHHHHHHH.

LEHIGH! I was waitlisted but still. One girl got in from my school with like a 1250 and didn't even want to go there. Now she's all YAY LEHIGH WOO I'M GOING.

Got into Northwestern, BUT waitlisted Johns Hopkins (one of my fav and my brother was born in the hospital too....i'm sooo sad)

I got denied from Hopkins. I was well above their average stat and was milking the female econ angle.

NYU< For a person that invested their time and money at their summer Pre-college, I should at least have had a chance for undergrad.

Colgate, I was waitlisted and am very bitter even though I didn't like the school.

Berkeley :(. Oh well they don't give much finaid anyway

ucsd, ucd, ucsb, uci, goddamn im probably goin to a cc now

stanford adsfja;lfjadsf

UCSB and UCD -.- UCSD would've been nice, but I've let that go because it's more competitive.

I blew Claremont McKenna's average stats away... and still got waitlisted. The Rice and Duke decisions were huge bummers too.

UT-Austin.

I was an OOS applicant.

I think their top 10% rule is complete crap. 5 kids applied from our school, the #1 public school in GA...only one was top 2% with decent stats and belowe average SAT and he got in..the others had taken a harder work load (me included) with higher SATs and from what i know, more interesting and unique ECs

and none of us got in simply b/c we were not in the top 10 percentile (all between the 12-15 percentile)

I got CAP'd at UT Austin..

I was top 11%, IN STATE!!

My friend who was top 20% with much lower SAT got in, but it was for art school

UCSD even if they did receive a "highly competitive applicant pool" this year. I'm still mildly bitter.

Lehigh and Villanova.

I get into Oberlin and Middlebury, but not Lehigh and Villanova? Gimme a freakin' break.

Waitlisted at Hopkins. A friend of mine got in with a much lower GPA and way lower SAT scores. I don't know if its bc I applied to BME or what, but...

Quinnipiac. It was one of my safeties! But they have rolling admissions so all the CT kids took up the spaces. Oh well, I got bigger scholarships than I would have got there to other places.

I also got waitlisted at Colby. My SATs are in range, and higher in some areas and my GPA is on par. I have taken all honors and AP classes, 4 year class president, NHS, etc. and my interview went really well. Oh well.
