I heard that after a show premieres it is available on DC++ within two days. Is this true? How do people get it off of the televison onto DC++ because I would like to do the same. Thanks.

Bittorrent. Try mininova.org.

towerpumpkin, I thought there was a bandwith limit. It doesn't make sense for students to be downloading these files from sources outside the Cornell intranet and then uploading them via DC++.

Of course it makes sense. Spread out over plenty of people, some are willing to pay for a little extra bandwidth to help out the hub. Also, a lot of people will download when they're in a library using free wireless. I routinely went 3-4gB over the limit last semester; it isn't that much money.

and you can always download files at home too. How to get it from your tv to computer. The way I do it is I record it off of the tv using my DV Camcorder (via the RCA cables) and then i connect my camcorder to the computer and just transfer the files. Pretty easy. And then you can edit the video and take out commercials and stuff.
