Where do I belong?

<p>I'm a girl that lives in New York, has a 30 ACT and 3.5 GPA (unweighted). By the end of next year I'll be taking 3 APs, have a job and a ton of community service ranging from playing tennis with autistic kids to reading books to terminally ill kids in a children's hospital and 4 walks. I'm an avid member of a bunch of clubs. My school doesn't weight grades so I have no clue what my HPA would be if it was weighted considering I'm in mostly honors classes. Im also white/not-Hispanic.</p>

<p>I'd LOVE to be in California, but I'm just not sure how that would pan out for me. The most I can pay is around $50,000 due to student loans, and I want a big school. </p>

<p>I would do this all on the Super Search, but it just doesn't tell me exactly what i need to know for it doesnt tell me about the social life.</p>

<p>I'm not a big partier but i'm not a hermit. I love to eat and go out and have fun, but i'm just not sure that a RARA school is for me. I love movies and music, playing my guitar and my nintendo. I'm also not sure that a sorority is for me either. Around where i live now in New York. all the girls go into jappy sororities and what not, but i don't belong in those types of clubs at all. </p>

<p>if someone like me would consider answering this question it'd help me SO much. </p>

<p>So far my choices are Tulane, UCSB, UCLA, USC. I want to major in business / communications. </p>

<p>OP, save your money, it is not worth paying OOS for a school in CA. what’s wrong with Rutger? Your might be able to get a good merit scholarship at Tulane. Do some research on the Tulane forum and see what students are getting with similar GPA and ACT score as yours. </p>

<p>i don’t think you will be able to get in to UCLA and USC.</p>
