What types of school should I be starting to look into? What should I be doing to improve my applications?
What would the chances of me getting into a high caliber engineering school be?

Any feedback; positive or negative, is welcome :)

You have quite a bit of Bs, but you also have some A’s. Plus, your ACT is excellent. In general, what type of engineering are you going for? Biomedical? Chemical? I don’t know much about engineering schools; however, I have heard that University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has a good engineering program. From what I know, you should have a good chance at getting accepted there. According usnewsuniversitydirectory, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is ranked fifth in terms of engineering. Again, it might depend on what type of engineering your looking into, but I hope I was a little bit helpful.

P.S.: Can you please chance my thread?

Look into Purdue

@OldArnold Thank your for the response and advice. I am not entirely sure type of engineering I am going to go into at the moment. I am considering mechinical, biomedical and possibly aerospace if possible.

Unfortuantly my freshman grades killed my GPA (all the B’s) I’m hoping to maintain A’s throughout the remainder of my highschool term. Also am retaking the ACT (we have to take it through the school) and I am aiming for a 32 hopefully a 33
And sure I’ll give it a shot Chance-ing you

@Analgin I’ll definitely look into an suggestions atm. Thank you, this is actually a school I was already considering because it is fairly close :)

OHHHH BTW I forgot to add that I am Currently Ranked 51/ 540+ At my school (top 10%) and it is rapidly dropping. I was 69 last semester. 84 the semester before that ect.

Bump… Anymore advice? :)

MIT, Stanford, Caltech and dont forget UC Berkeley … you never know … you might just get in …

Thanks for all of your responses… anymore opinions/ advice? I’ll chance you if you leave a thread

Speedy, on what basis are you telling this applicant to go for MIT, Stanford, Cal Tech? Not helpful.

Tomares, what type of school would you like to attend? Large or small? LAC or big university ? Urban or rural? What part of the country?
You really won’t have time to make huge changes in your stats or ECs now, so plan to go with what you’ve got. A 31 composite is good.

Thanks so much so far everyone… What about Northwestern? or U of I urbana engineering?
or University of Iowa

anymore advice would be greatly appreciated
