I am a senior in high school who plans on majoring in business- most likely management or marketing. I'm fortunate enough to have been offered a full ride to Indiana/ Kelley but have been accepted to some other great business schools. My question is, considering they are in between $50,000 and $60,000 a year including room & board, do you find any of them worth giving up the scholarship for? And, if so, why?

The other schools in consideration are:
UVirginia
USC
NYU
Emory

Nope… go for the full-ride. Even if the other schools might be “better” that does not make up the difference in cost. You will be glad at the end of 4 years when you are debt free.

Assuming your family can afford the EFC, I think you should check the strength of the programs, possibility of going to graduate school, curriculum, peer competition, your preference of job location, fit, and professional network. Your should visit all schools if you have not done so.

DS3 has narrowed down to Kelley ($7.5K/yr) and Duke (20K/yr). If he were awarded a full ride at IU, his decision would have been easier.

yankees3311: Unfortunately, not a dime for USC, I hadn’t planned on applying, but decided to last minute so the scholarship deadline had already passed. As for the others… I don’t know!

Thank you all so much for your input by the way :)
