Where do I need to be to get into Amherst College?

-My GPA is a 3.59 (going to be a 3.6 by the end of the semester)
-I got a 30 on the ACT (I am going to take it again)
-My SAT subject tests are a 750 in Biology and a 720 in World History
-I have taken 2 AP classes so far, and I got 4’s on both exams (I am currently taking 4 APs this year and I will be taking 4 APs next year during my senior year)
-I have an internship at a corporate company where I job shadow corporate lawyers
-I volunteered at hospitals
-I am involved in school clubs
-I have received some awards

I know that Amherst is really selective but I just want to know what my chances are. Thanks!

I’d say you definitely need to strengthen your GPA a bit as well as try and raise your ACT to make up for your low GPA. Amherst’s 50% range is 31-34 meaning you’re outside that, so if you want to have a shot you need stellar extracurriculars. Right now I’d say it’s a high reach, but you never know.
Chance me back?
