where do i send tax return forms to

Where do i send tax return forms to. Do I send to the Office of undergraduate Admission or the financial aid department. If anybody would be so kind, please type in address so I'm 100% clarified.

sorry for not clarifying, but this is early decision. I'm reading off the checklist and it says: "Prior year federal tax returns (signed), all pages, and W-2s.

where would i send this.

They're sent through College Board's IDOC program.

even if it was for ED? I asked a previous JHU student and she submitted it to the JHU financial office.

JHU uses the College Board's Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC) to collect copies of parent and student federal income tax returns and other required documents. You will receive a notice from the College Board's IDOC service in late January or early February listing all documents required to complete your application. At a minimum, we require signed copies of both parents' and student's 2006 federal income tax returns, all schedules and attachments and W-2 forms. All required documents must be submitted to the College Board's IDOC Service in a single packet with the required IDOC cover sheet. Early Decision applicants must meet this requirement after acceptance to JHU. Regular Decision applicants must submit the tax returns to College Scholarship Service IDOC by the postmark date of March 1. The IDOC website is: <a href="https://idoc.collegeboard.com/%5B/url%5D">https://idoc.collegeboard.com/</a>.</p>

Please do not send tax returns or other documents* to the Johns Hopkins University Office of Student Financial Services. Send all required documents to IDOC in a single packet. Any documents received by the Office of Student Financial Services will be returned to you with a request that you submit the documents to IDOC.
*The one exception is that Early Decision students who are asked to complete the Business/Farm Supplement should send this form to the JHU Office of Student Financial Services by November 15 since IDOC will not accept documents before January.

just to clarify...I thought all we needed to submit was just the css profile for right now and submit everything else after jan.?

well i'm looking at my packet and it says i have to submit my prior year federal tax returns, all pages, and W-2s by November 15.

I've read everything in the websites, but it hasn't directly stated where ED should submit since the IDOC is later in the year.

yeah thats what I thought, i didn't even read about a idoc form.

I still don't seem to have a definite answer. Anybody here know 100% sure where to send in the forms to?

warbie: sorry if you think i'm not believing you. I just need to make 100% sure.

OK, let's clarify things:

For Early Decision applicants applying for Financial Aid:
(<a href="http://www.jhu.edu/finaid/prosp_stud.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.jhu.edu/finaid/prosp_stud.html</a>)</p>

(1) You must complete and submit online the CSS/Financial Aid profile 2007-2008 by November 15. Link: <a href="https://profileonline.collegeboard.com%5B/url%5D">https://profileonline.collegeboard.com</a>. You submit this form online, so there is nothing to send in.

(2) ED applicants will need to submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) after their acceptance. So FAFSA is not required prior to Nov. 15 as it is not yet available.

(3) Federal income tax returns are submitted through the College Board's IDOC system. ED applicants will meet these requirements after acceptance.

(4) Non-custodial parent supplement: Early decision applicants must submit the non-custodial parent supplement by November 15 and the 2006 federal income tax return after acceptance to JHU.

So if you are applying ED you must submit the CSS Profile online by Nov. 15 and also the non-custodial parent supplement if applicable to your personal situation. All forms are submitted ONLINE!!! So there is nothing to mail.

If you have further inquiries, don't post on CC -- just call the Financial Aid Office at 410-516-8028.

Mr. Daniel, I have a really big problem. My mother lost all contact with my father during their divorce and she can't find him anywhere.

What do I do about the noncustodial parent supplement? I know its a requirement, but theres no way it can be filled out since my dads gone.
I'm going to call the office Monday, but I was wondering if you have any advice about this.

Simple advice -- call the Financial Aid Office!!!
