Where do I stand? chance please?

<p>**SAT I: **
2050 (math: 720; reading: 610; writing: 720)
2140 (math: 690; reading: 700; writing: 750)</p>

<p>SAT II:
Chinese w/ listening: 800
Bio: 710
I took Bio again, math II & ushistory in June. expecting mid to high 700s score for history.</p>

<p>AP:
5 on chinese
took ap bio, apush, ap stats & ap psychology this year. Not expecting great scores on anything except history.</p>

<p>grades:
gpa: 3.750 (In my freshman year I had four to five B’s but sophomore only 1 B & jr. year all A’s, taking ap stats, apush, ap bio.)
class rank: 165/509 ~ 32%</p>

<p>extracurricular:

  • band in 9th grade(traveled to australia for concert) & nonprofit band in 10th grade. Self playing in 11th grade.
  • co founder & Vice president of school cooking club since 10th grade.
  • volunteering at local library ~40 hrs
  • volunteering at local hospital ~100 hrs
  • making designs for nonprofits over the internet & at school
  • 1st place school tshirt design
  • vex robotics competition 2nd place, in robotics Public relations team.</p>

<p>some background info: My parents are divorced, lives w/ single parent, annual income is around $50,000. I have a brother who basically gave up studying, plays games all day. extremely competitive school in the top 200s.</p>

<p>Your SAT scores correspond more or less to the mean scores of accepted students, but your class ranking is going to hurt you unless you manage to frame your character, extracurriculars, and life experiences in a way that presents you as a compelling candidate. Are you an American of Chinese descent? And, are you male? (I ask, because being so would be to your advantage) Best of luck!</p>
